Three thousand of CRTA’s observers will monitor the Election Day
CRTA has formed the largest election observation mission so far, that will assess the quality of voting process at presidential, parliamentary and Belgrade elections on April 3.
More than three thousand of observers, trained in accordance with the highest international standards, will monitor elections, which is twice more observers than in 2020 elections.
CRTA will report about the republic (presidential and parliamentary) and Belgrade elections, on the basis of two random samples, representative for Serbia (500 polling stations) and Belgrade (450 polling stations), totaling a number of 950 polling stations.
Random representative sample of polling stations reflects the structure, size and territory of all polling stations, as well as regional and political characteristics, which ensures that information gathered from sampled polling stations are representative for Belgrade and the entire Serbia (not including polling stations designated for voters from Kosovo and Metohija).
Observers will be present at polling stations from preparation of polls for opening at 6am, until polling boards publically display election results, ensuring the comprehensive insight into developments at polling stations.
During the day, CRTA will regularly inform the public about the voters’ turnout, voting process and compliance with voting procedures.
Considering that elections will be conducted at multiple levels on April 3, it is expected that counting of votes will last longer than in 2020 elections. In order to ensure reliability and accuracy of data, CRTA will publically announce election results after collection and processing of data from at least 95 percent of sampled polling stations.
