Procedure for proposal of constitutional amendments

The Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly (NA) prescribe the procedure for amendment of the Constitution.1 The authorised proposers are at least one third of the total number of deputies, President of the Republic, Government and minimum 150,000 voters. The responsible committee establishes whether the proposal made by the authorised proposer is in the prescribed form,  including the reasoning.
