CRTA ELECTION OBSERVATION MISSION 2025

Citizens protect the vote in Kosjerić and Zaječar!

THANK YOU

No one has better donors and stronger allies than us.

One week was enough for us, thanks to you, to collect the amount (2.1 million dinars)

which we lack to cover the costs of observing the local elections in Zaječar and Kosjerić.

The country is in such a deep crisis and at such a critical turning point that the local elections in Zaječar and Kosjerić on June 8 won’t be “just local” elections. For the first time since “all of this began,” people will be heading to the polls. Since the Novi Sad canopy's collapse shook Serbia out of its apathy, citizens have been filling the streets for over six months.

Experience has taught us: the higher the stakes and the more uncertain the outcome, the more serious electoral manipulation and abuse can be expected. Just think back to December 17, 2023, in Belgrade - and you’ll know why, on June 8, 2025, we must be present at every polling station in Zaječar and Kosjerić, with the help of additional mobile teams.

The CRTA observation mission is a community united by shared values. Like you, we believe in elections where every citizen can vote freely – without pressure or intimidation.

We’ve observed many elections in less difficult circumstances, with more avilable resources. We asked you to help us and you did.

It's not enough to say thank you.

We all have to put a lot more effort into the fight for democracy in Serbia.

We don't give up.

People from all over Serbia are joining us to observe the elections in Kosjerić and Zaječar.

Two missions will monitor events from morning until night at each of the 29 polling stations in Kosjerić and 69 in Zaječar – with two observers inside and two outside each polling station. Specialized mobile teams will also be on the ground. All observers will be in constant contact with our legal team.

Organizing election observation in accordance with international standards is a major operation that requires many participants with a wide range of specific skills – electoral and legal experts, statisticians, observers, call center operators...

The total cost of these two missions is around 5 million dinars.

With your help those funds will go toward:

  • Travel expenses for observers coming from different parts of Serbia,
  • Lunch packages for observers,
  • Accommodation for observers traveling from across the country,
  • Printing of materials,
  • Communication costs (mobile phones, call center…).
If you want to support our other activities, thank you. You can donate here.

Thank you
