A total of 618 out of 1.089 citizens with the right to vote, i.e. 56,7 percent<\/b>, voted at the second revote within parliamentary elections at the polling station 6 in Bujanovac (Veliki Trnovac), which is less than in the previous revote which recorded a turnout of 64 percent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the repeated vote majority of votes went to the electoral list \u201cCoalition of Albanians from the Valley\u201d – 598, while the Socialist Party of Serbia won six votes. Electoral list \u201cAlbanian Democratic Alternative\u201d won two votes and list \u201cMilos Jovanovic – Hope for Serbia\u201d one vote. The remaining 15 electoral lists did not win a single vote. A total of 10 invalid ballots were recorded.<\/span><\/p>\n

The repeated vote was marked by the atmosphere of distrust among members of the polling board, which on several occasions resulted in verbal assaults and a short suspension of voting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Several specific irregularities were recorded, however in much lesser scope than those observed at the previous repeated vote on April 28.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the day, CRTA\u2019s observers recorded attempts to breach electoral procedures by voters who attempted to vote several times, or to vote without being recorded in the Voters List, however, the polling board managed to stop those attempts. The polling board also restricted one attempt to vote with another person\u2019s identification document.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cases where some voters did not vote due to already existing signatures by their names in the Voters List excerpt were recorded as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The presence of unauthorized persons at the polling station was periodically observed, while throughout the day gatherings of a significant number of unknown persons in front of the polling station were recorded as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cCoalition of Albanians from the Valley\u201d submitted a complaint regarding the regularity of voting outside of the polling station.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, voters at this polling station voted for the third time in parliamentary elections, due to irregularities recorded within the previous two voting processes (April 3 and 28). First, the Administrative Court issued the decision to abolish voting on April 3, after determining that the control ballot was signed by the member of the polling board as the first voter, contrary to the law on local elections. After the repeated vote on April 28, the Republic Electoral Commission accepted the complaint of the Socialist Party of Serbia submitted against the decision of the Local Electoral Commission regarding the breach of electoral procedures where the voter without the valid identification documents was allowed to vote.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
